Commercial Description:
Light and refreshing, La Torra blonde is the first beer to be flavoured with Arbouse (scarlet berries from a bush that grows wild in the Corsican maquis). Its fruity taste and unique character give it a true Corsican personality which makes it all the more special. To bring out its summery scents, it is best served at 5 to 6°C.

Canned (Thanks Bov!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet apricots and berries, and that’s about it. Flavour is apricot, berries, cookies, some sweet malts and mild papery notes. Refreshing, but not too interesting for a beer...

Can (BB 11/2010). Golden color, small white head. Strong sweet berry aroma. Light palate. Cardboard, sweetish berries, a bit like passion fruit. Jam added to beer? Low bitterness, papery. Quite useless. Maybe someone who "doesn’t drink beer" likes this.

Golden tandard hue with a thin head. Sweet honeyed nose with some spice. Orangey taste with a touch of honey. Reasonable beer.

Way to funky flavors going on here, not carbonated much, and sticky sweet, even the aftertastey sweet, not too good.

a typical corsica beer (à l’arbouse) brewed in Jenlain ? come on ... - clear and bright golden colour, big white head; aroma of blackcurrant/strawberry syrup; sweet and slightly sticky (but not as much I was fearing with this aroma), no beer character at all, the finish is relatively dry with more fruity notes - urghhh !

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, golden beer with a thick, creamy white and rather stable head. Some crude, floating impurities at the bottom. A somewhat indefinable aroma of berries. Flavour is clearly raspberry although I understand it’s really the berries from the Strawberry Tree (Arbutus). A slightly synthetic edge. Sweetish but yet with a dry finish. Rather unusual. 191005

Bottled:
Foamy head, ddep golden color. Intensive apricot aroma, light artificial. Taste is sweetish, light fruity, malty, somewhat spicy. Dry finish, light bitter. Light to medium bodied. A bit strong perfumed and to sweetish.

Bottle. Golden color with a white head. The taste is sweet fruits with light strange spices. Rather artificial really.
