clear gold, lacey white head. aroma fo lemon, ginger and grain. I’m not a fan of ginger in beers and this one had an off fake ginger flavour and too much of it at that. hints of grainy malt with sweet ginger and club soda-like finish

Bottle. Light gold in would with a lasting thin white head. Aroma was of light ginger, lemon cookies and soap. The flavour mainly of ginger but was balanced with lemons. Slightly sweet coating mouthfeel, medium-light body, high carbonation. Finishes somewhat like carbonated water and flat ginger ale.

Well I’m sure there was something more to this pale gold offering, but really it was ginger ginger ginger. Oddly unpleasant finish after a sparkling ginger ale. Not for me - and I like ginger.

330 ml bottle shared with gusto but no great pleasure with tiggmtl and ClarkVV during Mondial week. Clear light blonde-gold, bit of head...ginger ale, vanilla cookies (’Nilla wafers or close to ’em) in the pleasant but totally non-beer-like nose...soda-pop flavors, hint of earthiness, bit of spicy pine amidst the ginger...cottony, dry, unpleasant finish. Please sir, may I have some less?

Ginger, citrus, pine, cookie dough, vanilla in a complex but not necessarily enticing aroma. Clear, pale gold with decent and lasting white head that leaves some lacing. Earthy pine, citrus flavours are mild. Some sugary, honeyish malts. Strong, sweet and rather reminiscent of ginger ale. Lightly bitter finish. Sticks to the teeth and coats the tongue and gums. Metallic and slightly watery with soft carbonation. Nifty aluminum ’bottle’ (LCBO, May-2005) sampled with ClarkVV and muzzlehatch, but this ain’t no Bière de Garde...

2005 bottle provided by tiggmtl and shared with him and Muzzlehatch, 6/3/05. Very clear pour, light yellow, looks like ginger ale, to be honest. Small white head fades rapidly to ring, with light lacing. Rusty yellow tinges on the edges of the body. Smells of ginger snaps, vanilla, slight slight dough. Flavor begins with ginger, green tea, bits of honey. Slightly heather, cotton-like finish (like cottonballs in your mouth). Bits of sugar throughout and just the slightest bit of grainy, bready malt. Medium body, not terribly water, good amount of carbonation. My rating is for a spice/herb/vegetable, not for a biere de garde style.
