Purchased from Cora outside Strassburg, France. Poured a clear copper color with a thin wispy white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, an earthy character, and slightly hoppy. Body started sweet and malty with a nice balance and a bready finish. Flavor is thick, but quickly thins into an astringently bitter tone. Surprisingly, this was a very drinkable beer from France, and one I’ll buy again. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA

Drank at La Gueuze cafe in Paris. 33 cL bottle pours classic amber color with fading white head. Sweetish cookie aroma with tinges of apple and maple. Rather sweet flavor, just short of cloying thanks to a very slight bitterness, soft carbonation and maybe a bit wet. Lightly bitter and sweet aftertaste. Would be the perfect complement to something roasted and salty... somebody bring me a bird. gowdy (158), Ferney-Voltaire, France

Flavors of crystal malts and a quick roast touch that only lasts for a split second. CO2 brings a "green sting" to the back of the throat. Some banana and mixed fruit in middle. Long smooth but grainy finish with hops that ends with a little tin. cgarvieuk (4212), Edinburgh, Scotland
