The appearance is amber/orange with a nice foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. I like this one it’s really nice in every way but not not great in any way. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2006 pours a lightly hazy amber with a fizzy off-white head. A floral and citrus nose really kinda expands as it warms, when this thing warms a bit a really wonderful aroma emits reminding me of orange lollypops and some holiday spice that I can’t place. Flavor has a lot of orange hard candy taste, followed by a shot of caramel and finishing with a mineral lightly spiced end. Interesting brew that really kicks in the orange candy taste as it warms, still very nice, but the body feels thin. gunnfryd (3590), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2006 Bottle. Tastes like regular Jenlain, but with a slightly more citric/orangey characters. Some caramel sweetness, and some light herbal grassyness. This was very pleasant without being outstanding. Sammy (4000), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 24, 2006 just a very good balanced taste profile beverage that worked for my friend and I for supper. Orange taste was apparent and not over the top. A nice biere de garde, moderated spicey taste overall , some citrus, not too bitter nor sweet perhaps it was aged some.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 7, 2006 Pretty stuff, glowing ruby-red. Good nose, lots of orange notes with a fair amount of chocolate, subtle sweetness and some fruitiness. Flavor is a bit dead, mild fruit but mostly flat, dead graininess. Bit more orange, but quite syrupy. Weirdly toasty. Smells nice, doesn’t taste particularly nice.
