Commercial Description:
With its splendid golden hues and fruity tones, Jenlain No. Six has a distinctive bitter finish and a hoppy nose. The barley-scented liquor sparkles under its light, foamy head. Light and thirst-quenching, with a rich characteristic savour, it is best served at between 5 and 6°C, with a meal or as an aperitif. Filtered, and lagered but unpasteurised.

Editor’s Note:From 2000 until March 2005 this was known as Jenlain Blonde. The name Jenlain Blonde now is used for a new (March 2005) product of 7.5% abv.

(Bottle 65 cl) Comes as "Jenlain Bière Blonde". Pale golden with a fine, creamy head. Almost clear with a sediment though. Very soft and pleasant with some malty sweetness and a discreet yet marked bitterness. 240303 and 291206

Yellow, with a big ass white head. Sourish aroma of corn and vegetable that is more appealing than that description makes it sound. Flavors of wheat, maybe some soy, white wine and sour apple nicely blended together. Very soft palate.

well, i think mostly due to the green, probably not so new bottle, this was an unpleasane experience. skunk seemed to dominate the taste and the sweetness of this beer did not seem to deal well with that.

Blond color. Common beer, just some malt (and more sugars than the ordinary).

Corked bottle. Yeast, apple and vinnegar aroma. Golden amber color with small head. Sweet and sour cider flavor - light bitter and tart finish. Enjoyable - my first biere de garde so my opinion could change.

At first smell, it smells like a pilsner. after taking the first sip, I was surprise by the tasted of honey and mild citrus. High carbonation and a equal parts malt and hops make this a pleasant beer for the future

11.2oz bottle. Bright golden beer with a decent white head and lacing. Pleasant hoppy aroma. Lightly sweet and very malty. Hoppy and slightly bitter finish . Yeasty flavor also but crystal clear with nothing in suspension. Medium body and refreshingly carbonated. Fairly good.

It poured a rich and hazy gold with a very thick head. Aroma was full of citrus, I expected it to be a bit more tart and really didn’t expect the honey like sweetness which followed (very sweet!) The best description I can give is a carbonated mead. Decent beer but a bit too sweet for my liking.
