Commercial Description:
With its splendid golden hues and fruity tones, Jenlain No. Six has a distinctive bitter finish and a hoppy nose. The barley-scented liquor sparkles under its light, foamy head. Light and thirst-quenching, with a rich characteristic savour, it is best served at between 5 and 6°C, with a meal or as an aperitif. Filtered, and lagered but unpasteurised.

Editor’s Note:From 2000 until March 2005 this was known as Jenlain Blonde. The name Jenlain Blonde now is used for a new (March 2005) product of 7.5% abv.

CanSweet flowery and spicy flavor (ginger, roses). Dark amber, nice champagne bubbles, lowish cream head. Very sweet and flowery - Maybe good together with a strong blue vein cheese? Quite light body though, which destroys the beer in my oppinion.

Canned. Yellow-ish colour. Earthy, cellar-like aroma. Spicy, sweetish flavour with notes of anise(or wormwood). Short finish.

Bière du Garde is not supposed to be in small bottles or cans, but I can handle that...But the colour...Has anyone heard of a pale stout??

I had planned to make number 100 a czech beer, but this was a surprisingly good substitute. A nice golden color with a creamy head. A little fruity and sweet. Both hops and malt in the taste. Nice body and a very clean finish. A very nice surprise...

Clean, crisp, lemony aroma. Light malt palate, gin-like herbs and a very slight bitterness and alcohol in the finish.

(Canned) Dark blonde colour with a frothy disappearing white foam. Sugary and cellary aroma with touches of canned pears. Cellary and sweet flavour of canned pears and white bread. Sticky mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of hay with cellary and sugary undertones.
