Commercial Description:
With its splendid golden hues and fruity tones, Jenlain No. Six has a distinctive bitter finish and a hoppy nose. The barley-scented liquor sparkles under its light, foamy head. Light and thirst-quenching, with a rich characteristic savour, it is best served at between 5 and 6°C, with a meal or as an aperitif. Filtered, and lagered but unpasteurised.

Editor’s Note:From 2000 until March 2005 this was known as Jenlain Blonde. The name Jenlain Blonde now is used for a new (March 2005) product of 7.5% abv.

Ohhh this is not looking good. This is a different label than the one pictured Blonde. This may be 2 years out of date!! Looks ok ,slightly hazy golden , small tight ,bubbly white head. Smells OK too, mostly malty, with a small hope presence. Very sweet taste, but it goes fast to leave a slighly buiscuity semi dry finish. Some fruitiness too . Mouthfeel is average. Not bad over all. Would be nice in July/August.

Bottle; tasted yesterday in France (St Amand l-Eaux). Hazy gold color. Hops aroma. Sweety, malty, and a dry aftertaste. Belgian beers are better.

33cl bottle from Waitrose poured a light golden colour with a thick white head. Unfortunately the appearance was the only attractive thing about it. Aroma is of dusty hay, and the taste is overwhelmingly sweet, with some hints of tropical fruits, but mainly sugar syrup, leading to a sickly sweet cloying aftertaste. Not to my taste at all.

Ligth orange colored, little white head. Sweet, fruity, surprisingly rich aroma with mild alcohol. Medium bodied. Flavor is also sweet with lemony and somehow caramelly tones. Aftertaste is hopped and dry with some nuts. Flowers in aftertaste, reminds me of some Swedish Slottskällans...

It’s a french beer night i surpose. Not too bad, but kinda sweet malty becks like. Oh loverly on the green bottle as the skunk factory feckin strikes again. outside, hints of floral hops, malt, some fruityness to it. Kinda fake all around. The French are great at a bunch of stuff. Wine, cuisine, not working, complaining, sex, and helping you out if u at least attempt to speak French while yer there, but beer? nah.
