The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts modest hoppy-dry. Becomes more and more metallically, a bit hard. Finish is flat and boring. I exspected more...

Nice fluffy head, but the colour is way too piss-yellow for a biere de garde. Some sweet aromas, something like naughahyde seats too. Slight tastes of citrus, hops, but quite watery. Some hints of complexity that really never pan out.

Bottled(250ml). -Six pack from E.Leclerc Ljubljana. Clear golden coloured, medium sized frothy white head, flowery light spicy nose. Yeasty, fruity and light herbal taste with notes of cloves and spices. Low carbonation, alcohol is subdued. Surprisingly good supermarket BdG.

10/01 0.25 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks! What a name for my first Biere de garde! Well, it poured deep golden body with big, slightly yellow head. Interesting aroma, ale banana yeasty, some honey malt and spices. A bit stale flavor, but otherwise fine, nice yeasty and malty with some subtle components like herbal spices. Well balanced between sour and sweet, but quite thin bodied. Finish is nice, medium to longer, reflecting the flavor. An OK beer, but I hope other examples of the style are better, with more flavor so I could get its point.

Bottle courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!), shared with heavy. Poured a golden body with a medium sized thick white head that went away somewhat slowly. The nose is interesting, lemony and dust yet flowery, some cloves too. The cloves dominate the taste, asserting themselves over some herbal/vegetable notes. Ok maltiness. Can be considered tasty despite the fact that it tastes like a cross between a clovey wheat beer and a pale lager.

Bottle. Light blonde color, slight lacy head, high carbonation. Aroma like a Belgian blonde: a bit sweet, malty, figs. Good malt flavor, relatively strong, decent hopping. Much like a blonde Belgian ale. Slightly sour and hoppy finish. Lingering sweetness and alcohol warmth goes along with the hops. Contains wheat malt as well as barley, and that taste definitely comes through as well. A touch of spiciness as well. Very good.

Bottle. Toffee malt aroma with light hint of hops. Golden yelllow color with moderate head. Creamy toffee malt and light grassy hops flavor. Light tart finish. Nice drinkable beer.
