Apr 24, 2005 A dark amber beer with a huge light orange head. The aroma is very yeasty, but also with notes of caramel and coriander. The flavor is thin, containing hints of caramel, yeast, leading to a dry finish, where the alcohol gives a slight burn.

Jun 27, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Amber coloured with a considerable head. Very complex with an initial sweetness being substituted by hoppiness only to finish slightly sour. Notes of fruit, yeast and caramel - in no particular order. OK, but a bit confusing. 100398

Dec 11, 2007 Bottle. Clear medium amber color with a lots of medium size particles, a large to huge, frothy / creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus, lemon, grape, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. (Nice balance and scharpe / fresh aroma). Body is medium to full, texture is oily / creamy, carbonation is soft to lively. (Smoth and soft). (101207)

Mar 30, 2007 Bottle, 7%. Fruity, vinous raisin aroma. Clear dark copper/red colour. Small head. The flavour is somehow roasted, a bit as if the grain has been completely drained of every last drop of starch. Slightly sweet and quite vinous. Ending with a sweet fruitiness.

Jun 26, 2007 Golden color; huge thick head. Aroma of malt, with some coriander, and light fruity touch. The flavor is quite ordinary, with a light malt taste and some coriander. Not bitter enough. Easy Ale.

Jan 22, 2004 Orange and amber color, slightly hazy. Caramel and cinnamon aroma. Thinnish caramelly flavor. Apple and melon, some alcohol. Hints of cinnamon, rosebuds. Flowery. One of the better Duysters beers, which isn't too difficult.

Sep 4, 2003 Clear amber; creamy head, 5cm. Sweet-malty nose, alcohol. Freshly baked cake, and somehow bitter nose. Taste is delicate sweet with outspoken honey-arome and some restrained acidity. Very nice balance. Very light mouthfeel - certainly from a 7% beer. Bitterness from the nose has gone. Some oxidation (biscuit- taste) in the aftertaste. A delicate beer with a delicate balance - not something for the die-hard hopheads amongst us.
