Bought at Fedici, Diest. The building on the lable is Den Drossaard in Diest, the former youth hostel were I have a have a summer job each year. The beer is dark amber, clearly unfiltered. Aroma of malts and dried fruits, raisin, yeast, clearly alcoholic. Complex flavour with subtle fruitiness and sourness.

Orange nutbrown color, medium/large head, diminished to a short lasting head. Some debris floating around. Aroma is caramel malty, candy sugar, fruity also. Sweet malty taste, caramelly. Again a very nice brew by Duysters.

Bottled sample aquired via lubiere. Amber in colour with medium to strong carbonation. The aromas are somewhat saison-like, with notes of hay, marshmallow, and lemon. Flavors are of pale malts, grassy and earthy hops, thyme, mint, and kosher salt. Light bodied, and hides its alcohol well. Quite drinkable, but with loads of character too. Surprisingly good, considering its low ratings.

Bottle. Clear medium amber color with a lots of medium size particles, a large to huge, frothy / creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus, lemon, grape, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. (Nice balance and scharpe / fresh aroma). Body is medium to full, texture is oily / creamy, carbonation is soft to lively. (Smoth and soft). (101207)
