madsberg (4373), Bangalore, India Mar 20, 2004 Draught: Dark brown coloured. Dense chocolatish head. Cocoa, malt, some light roastyness in the aroma. Very smooth and malty flavour. Notes of chocolate. Has a medium bitterness in the end. Good one. andershn (90), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 24, 2003 Draught, 0.5 L in a snifter glass. Nearly black, with few bubbles (nitrogen?). Had a creamy, light brown head which appeared able to last forever. Both aroma and flavour with lots of chocolate. Chocolate was very dominant in the flavour which did not show much bitterness. This and the sweetness completely disguised any presence of alcohol. Mouthfeel was creamy. Excellent, but I probably won't drink more than one per evening. fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Nov 30, 2003 Keg Dark amber color; creamy head. Peculiar aroma for a stout, with cherry notes! Smooth and very original, with a very light sourness, something undefined, as black fruitness; roasted malt character; light peaty flavor, whisky-like. Very original stout! omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 29, 2002 Black with creamy head. Medium bodied, very dry, very bitter. Quite similar to Guinness. KnutAlbert (2322), Oslo, Norway May 8, 2008 Very nice. Bottle kindly supplied by the Beer Nut.
Smoke, coffee, some chewy graininess in the body.
Low carbonation, goed flat.
But it is easy drinking, pleasant and smooth, the very opposite of the nitro stouts.
