On tap at City Beer Store in SF. A "phair"-ly good beer - not a great one despite the fact that it was "barrel aged." Amber color with cream-colored head. Caramel malt and hops on the aroma. Flavor is sweet malt, mild hops, and slight fruitiness. Some sourness. Pretty nice smooth palate, but nothing too exciting or memorable.

Tap at city beer, SF. Hazy amber color, short head. Aroma of malt, quite some hop, hint of raisin. Quite bitter taste, very malty as you expect in an english strong ale slash barley wine, with a slight sourish yeasty hint to it. Bourbon barrel aged is noticeable as well. Nice stuff.

Draft. Copper beer with a small off-white head. Light barrel/alcohol aroma with light malt. Light red wine (almost brandy at times) flavor with malt, caramel, light roast and light hops. Medium bodied. Light barrel notes. Light malt, light fruitiness lingers with light wine/brandy notes adding a bit of depth. Gets much better as it warms.
