Sep 4, 2007 750 ml bottle from the meadery. Pours a brilliant clear reddish pink with no head. This is a still mead. Blackberries are probably my favorite berry, and this mead did not disappoint. Some raspberry beers and meads have an artificial aroma and taste; not so with this mead. Very nice, bright aroma of balckberries and honey. Flavor was again blackberries and honey. Sweet, but not cloying or syrupy. I imagine this would be awesome served with some dark chocolate dessert.
