Commercial Description:
Our traditional meads are somewhat similar to customary honey mead formulas without the boiling process, which delivers a bountiful, robust flavor, but no harshness. Produced with 100% pure honey, with absolutely no artificial flavors or colors added. Lovely honey aroma and taste with grape overtones. This mead is similar to a Late Harvest Riesling, but with an enticing honey taste.

This was the mead I sampled at Earle Estates that was 100% mead with no wine mixed with it. It was nice with a subtle sweetness in its honey flavor and a fresh but not intrusive sweet aroma. The sweetness seems subdued compared to what I had down the highway but the balance is good.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow. Wonderful floral aroma plus obviously honey. Flavor is honey (duh!). Not overly sweet. Finely crafted - reaaly excellent. Earle Estates also makes several meads combined with fruit. Their Pear Mead is my all-time favorite, and their Cherry Mead is great paired with dark chocolate.

Aroma of honey and grapes. Pale yellow color, with no carbonation, as expected. Light feel. Flavor is of honey and white wine. I still think mead is closer to a wine than a beer, but I love it nonetheless. This is a good one, and I’m lucky to have this meadery relatively nearby. This mead is not as sweet as I’ve experienced with other meads - it is just a touch on the dry side. This stuff is great if you like meads.
