| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 20, 2009 After the nose, this one goes bad for all the wrong reasons. The two main essentials of this draught pour spelled brown ale. The colour (red/brown), the palate (nuts, roasted cereals, warm sugars). All but the nose had was completely void of ripe and bursting hops. It also faded very quickly which was icing on the "mistaken identity" cake. If this was classified as a nut ale, it probably would have scored fairly high! joss (3680), Garching b. München, Germany

Clear, dark orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Yeasty grainy flavour has a hint of charred grass and finishes sweetly. Medium body is a little grainy. Pretty refreshing after climbing up a mountain and taking a quick dip in the hot spring spa... jerc (3947), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Draft at Earls in Banff. Amber body with a small white head. Very mild aroma with light malt and muted hops. Flavour is similarly mild and muted, with a light bitterness throughout but not much in the way of hop flavour. Mild malt presence. Average palate. Underwhelming.<P>
This is my 1000th Canadian Rating! Its a silly numbers thing I know, but I am pretty excited to reach this ’round number’ milestone. I had planned to save it for something highly rated but my recent trip west has resulted in way more Canadian ratings than anticipated. Yay! The beer was pretty mediocre but it came after a spectacular day of visiting Lake Louise and hiking in the Canadian Rockies. It was pretty spectacular, and I suddenly see why people would actually consider living in Alberta! tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Dec 27, 2006 Bland, simple, the only redeeming quality here was that it washed food down the gullet. Why make a pale ale without any hops?
