All right, I get to be the first again! I picked up a small growler of this at the brewpub. I had a 32 ounce growler with me, and the staff was not sure what to do with it, but eventually it got it filled and made its way into my belly. But before it did that, it leaked all over a pair of my socks and good heavens, it made those socks smell great! Anyway, this was a sweet, medium to heavy weight doppelbock, with a rich, brown sugary flavor. A good brew.

From growler courtesy of santoslhalper. Chocolate and mild smoke, Tootsie Roll. Malty and rich with light chalky bitterness. Simple nose. Light boozy notes. Deep ruby amber-brown clear with thin lacing head. Medium heavy watery body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays sweet. Boozy with caramel and chocolate. Light bitter nutty notes. Doesn’t really remind me of a doppelbock - more of a sweet dunkel or Oktoberfest.

Brown amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, light roast, burnt toasted malts, nuts and toffee. Taste of caramel malts, nuts, light roast, cocoa, and smoke with a bit of alcohol in the finish.
