Sweet with a good alcohol sniff. Reminiscent of the bière de gardes I had in France. No hops. Deep golden amber clear with no head. medium watery body with medium-light carbonation and alcoholic warming. Starts sweet and mildly boozy. Tons of caramel from the three hour boil. Very little hops but iwth nutty after - a little chalky. Nice beer. adrian910ss (1435), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
