Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark May 4, 2008 Bottle, blind tasting. A hazy amber beer with a off-white head. The aroma is of caramel malt and hops, a bit stabel in there to. The taste is also mainly caramel malt and hops, but also a bit of alcohol. Medium body with a bitter dry, light alcoholic finish.
thebeertourist (1889), Oslo, Norway Oct 10, 2008 On tap at Brewpub København. Nice off-white, creamy head on top of the hazy burgundy-coloured beer. Sharp fruity and bitter aroma, hints of figs and candy sugar. Sweet, fruity fig flavours, some coffeeish bitterness as well as raisins. Full-bodied. Points also for originality. Thomas_E (5065), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 4, 2008 Deep amber, reddish colour with a foamy tan head. Sweet fruity and light roasted aroma with a vague alcohol and chocolate sweetness and hints of yeast. Roasted malty and fruity sweet flavor with notes of caramel and hops. Papsoe (10359), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 26, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a very cloudy amber with a creamy, off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel and aroma hops. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy giving it strong notes of grapefruit - my guess is Cascade. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy giving it notes of grass and grapefruit as well as light notes of alcohol and elderberries, leading to a dry bitter finish.
