Aroma not as skunky as expected - thin head gives way to an almost clear pour. Bit of a metallic taste throughout - but not enough to make it unenjoyable or undrinkable. Beats American Pilseners.

Elbrewery is Poland’s largest brewer, though it is owned by Heineken. EB is one of the best selling brands in Poland. Truly awful! Thin, metallic, greasy, like the watered down oil from a second hand moped. Roger Protz wrote a rave review of this in The Guardian earlier this year (2002) calling it an ’impressive beer’ - so I tried again. I’m impressed he managed to drink it all.

Dark yellow. Some grassy hops in the nose. Rather spritzy, touch of hops in the finish.

A nice pilsener, but Czechvar still has it beat. A decent, crisp taste. Very drinkable, but sort of a cross between a lager and a pils.

It was my best till today. I had 2 of them to make sure that quality went down. Sadly it did. Still it’s good pilsner with good taste. No longer top notch. I am sad :(

This is a decent Pils (I guess that I must have gotten a fresh one, eh Oakes). Typical pilsener aroma, blondish-clear color. Nice hoppy bitterness blended and sweet malt. Finishes plain. Overall a decent beer.

Pale golden colour. Grasy hop aroma. Rather light bodied, clean, a tad butterscotchy, some bitterness. Pretty good.

Very smooth and refreshing.
