jbrus (4024), Delft, Netherlands Apr 4, 2008 Bottle@Home. Raisin and jasmin aroma. Ruby color, beige small head, good lace. Very sweet, light bitter, jasmin, spiced, maple syrup? Very sticky, sparkling, light warming. Too sweet but overall interesting.
Lubiere (3144), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 24, 2008 A dark ruby brown ale with a nice lacing light moka head. Interesting aroma of coriander, lemon, cinnamon and maple. In mouth, two layers of sweetness, the one from candy sugar, with its peated wood notes, typical of Belgian browns, the other layer, the sickly sweet sugar syrup, or like Paspoe said, cough syrup sweetness. Still, nice curacao notes. Alcohol burn in final. Bieropholie import, BB 21/12/11 BartC (222), Lichtaart, Belgium Dec 4, 2007 A dark brown beer with a nice lacy beige head. Aroma is very vinious. Also some sourness and after a while some dark fruits. Nice sweet fruity flavors. Some alcohol (at the end), burned caramel and malts. Maybe a bit to much? Papsoe (9663), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 28, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) A beautifully warm, reddish beer with a dense, off-white head. Unusual, spicy and sweet aroma. Full body, quite sweet with some burned caramel. And also some strange accents that mostly remind me of cough syrup. Subdued bitterness. An interesting and unusual beer, but I’m not sure if I actually like this. 211007 Eructoblaster (1227), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 16, 2007 Bottle - 330ml. Dark brown hazy body with average carbonation and a decent beige bubbly head. Malty/hoppy aroma with yeasty and brown sugar notes. Taste carries sweet (maple syrup) and fruity hints. Ends with an enjoyable warming finish.
