Tap @ brewpub. Clear amber color, short head. Sweet aroma, some caramel. Sirupy like soda. Very sparkling, like cola.

On tap at the brewpub in Moab, Utah. Pours a dark amber color with almost no head. The aroma is mostly chestnuts and malt. The taste was full of sweet bananas, malt, some caramel, and overall a crisp, but easygoing brew.

on tap-pours a foamy to rocky off white head and amber color. Aroma is mild fruity, musty, faint smell of a drain. Taste is mild fruity, some musty medium malt, faint smell of a drain and metallic hops. Not really bad but nothing good. OK carbonation.

Had this at McStiff’s with the obligatory corn crisps. Quite good, sadly cannot recall any details, but I remember I enjoyed from the first sip on a hot hot day.

Slightly hazed copper appearance, modest head formation. Malty, dark fruit bready aroma. Malt, cookie dough flavor, mildly earty and spicey. Finishes with a spicy citric hoppiness. Flavor seemed a little off, drinkable but uninspiring.

On-tap at the brewpub: Caramel orangy glowing brown with a darker center, no real head was on it and gets no lace. Aroma is more sweet then anything, malts giving some caramel candy and lgith dulled fruity notions, notes of herbal hops and nuttyness. Taste is about the same as what the smell would lead you to believe. Sweet, slight caramel, some noted earthy herbs and nuttyness seeps in towards the finish. Quite bland and boring with a light taste and body. Likeable, but passable over just about every amber/red out there.

This amber ale pours with an amber body topped by a thin white head with little lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with some bready notes. Weak and unimpressive. The flavor is very similar, but with weak hoppy notes. Light bodied, watery and smooth.

I think that these guys do ok, considering the ABV restriction. Has more flavor and is less watery than to be expected. I would imagine that this brewery could make some decent beer if they had the fetters taken off. Fair or not, I did bump the rating up just a little bit, think of it as a "handicap."
