Oakes (6999), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 2, 2007 Updated: Aug 3, 2007Brewery Creek
Light gold. Hazy. Assertive yeast - banana, bread, foot and something like a lime or kumquat citrus note. The body is somewhat thin and a bit spritzy at the back. Malt leads with banana and faint footiness. Sort of a minty herbal thing going on...maybe clover honey...but it’s fairly vague, a suggestion more than a flavour. fiulijn (6000), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 15, 2008 Cloudy blond color, no head; it has anyway a persistent perlage. Aroma of banana candies and chewing-gum. It has a sweetish flavor, with very light wheat, some banana, no spices, almost no bitterness. If you hate beer, you like this. Comments: A strange, yet not unpleasant wheat beer with strong spicey flavours: cinnamon? Cardamom? But overall, a bit too sweet for me to be overly enthusiastic since it fails to be refreshing enough with that sweetness.

Hazy orange color, decent creamy white head. Wheat, clove, sugar and coriander in the nose. Clove, banana and wheat in the herbal flavor. More or less ordinary witbier with some interesting herbs/spices added. Bov (4730), Bienne, Switzerland Aug 29, 2008 cloudy bright orange colour with a bad head retention; robust spicy aroma, mints, herbs and coriander; sweet and medium-bodied, a hint of citrusy acidity; long spicy finish - quite fresh and pleasant
