BeerRunner (144), San Diego, California, USA Oct 7, 2003 This is a pretty good American Light beer. When judged against other light beers, it's quite good. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA Oct 15, 2003 Hey, what the hell, I like it! For what it is, it's pretty good. Swigged straight from the bottle as god intended for light beer to be swigged. beerguy101 (3488), Newark, California, USA Nov 7, 2003 Extremely light gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is slightly malty with a touch of sweetness. A light bodied light beer. Malts are slightly fruity. Hops are very minimal. It’s a little watery, but that’s sort of to be expected. Clean tasting, and there is nothing really objectionable in this beer. It’s a little sweet and somewhat lacking in flavor, but it still very drinkable. I’m somewhat surprised as this is a much better beer than I expected. I also wonder if they have changed the recipe or changed the brewing process, as all of the newer reviews are much higher than the earlier ones. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Oct 2, 2003 From the guy that invented light beer. Clean aroma with no off notes. Clean flavor with a dry finish. Good for what it is. Once again, a light beer gets panned because many on this site thinks all beer is supposed to be like imperial IPA! Note to raters: this beer is not infected and well made. It does not reek of DMS, dyactyl, or green apples. It is a light beer and is made as such. Were you all expecting something else? beerking99 (199), USA Oct 3, 2003 Fairly malty aroma, although, despite the previous rater's comments, my bottle had a SLIGHT DMS character. No Diacetyl. Clear pale gold, yet darker than expected for style. Small head, but what it should be. Flavor is very clean, with malt up front, and possibly some adjunct character. A bit more hops would balance it better.
