| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Tap at RNH. Deep golden beer. Lightly hazy with a thin white head. The aromais lightly herbal and loaded with crisp fresh pale malt. Very toasty and fresh with a light wheaty tartness. I’m kind of surprised at how expressive the malts are in here. Low bitterness, just a light herbal kick on the back. A surprisingly tasty summertime brew. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2009 The aroma is a bit weak and watery but what is there is good stuff. It is malty with bread, corn, yeast, and grassy hops. The appearance is pale gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bread like finish. The palate is smooth. Overall a good session beer that is hurt by being watery. Palidor19 (1792), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Eel River California Blonde Ale is a slightly hazy, light golden ale topped with a thin white head that fades. It has a resiny, fruity aroma. It kind of smells like... a barleywine. It has a light body and a smooth, clean finish. It tastes mellow and well balanced with a wood resin slightly sweet finish. This has a lot of character for a blonde. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 25, 2009 Poured from the bottle. Pour produced a orange-yellow body, topped by a small head of foam, which quickly diminished. Faint sweet malt aroma, with some light hops. Light-bodied and decently balanced with a tang of hops at the end. The slightly bitter aftertaste at the end diminishes quickly, and overall, is a clean, easy-to-drink beer. As the commercial description states, this is a good beer to get one initiated into micro-brews: nothing to chase away the uninitiated, though nothing to keep the experienced beer drinker coming back. lumpsowers (252), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Clear copper pour, low head, medium lacing, rising bubbles. Yeasty bready aroma. Fizzy and a little sweet, with a rich piny, citrus tack at the end. Slightly nutty, with no bite. A very smooth and drinkable beer, I’ll have this one again.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clear, orange-amber body with a small, off-white head.
Smell: Light pale malts with minimal hints of grain and dry caramel. Spicy hops with a light herbaceous quality to them, imparting a vague tea-like note. Faint, faraway fruitiness.
Taste: As with the nose, it’s light pale malts with a touch of graininess and some dry caramel with no more than some faint sweetish qualities to it. Minor hint of fruit. Spicy, slightly herbal hops with a medium-low bitterness. Again, it reminds me of a small sip of white tea. A slight transition back to the pale malts, but then the clean finish hits very quickly.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: An okay, adequate blonde in terms of an easy-drinking, balanced ale, but, to be honest, it’s a tad forgettable.
