Commercial Description:
Our certified organic interpretation of a West Coast Pale Ale. This medium-bodied beer has a hoppy bouquet and a distinctive rich taste with a caramel-like sweetness that is balanced with a liberal dose of domestic Centennial and imported East Kent Golding hops. Certified organic, certified good.

A deep amber color with a nice hoppy aroma. This was simple easy drinking amber ale. Liked the flavors this beer gave off. You can taste the caramel flavors from the malts and the hops this beer did finish quite bitter which was not my cup of tea.

Bottle purchased at Vulcan Beverages, Birmingham, AL. Pours amber with an average foamy off-white head, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, meal), average hops (flowers, pine), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apple and pear. Light bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

(Bottle) Organic beer blind tasting at Brouwers’s in Seattle, March 3, 2007. Pours a white dissipated head with a deep orange body. Nose of butter malt, smoke and canned green beans. Flavour of flat English malt. Poor.

Pours amber w/ full, semi creamy, tightly spattered froth. Aromas of dense amber caramel and bright dusty hops. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Goes in w/ a silky texture and finishes w/ velvet. Very nice ! Nice amber caramel flavors dusted w/ a light jacket of crispy citrus hops without turning to grapefruit. Finish is bittered better than moderate. A solid specimen.

The 6 pack I bought at Bev Mo in Costa Mesa, CA was infected. When I opened the bottle it foamed uncontrolably and I could not even pour this beer into a glass. It was carbonated to a champagne level. It was borderline undrinkable, as I had to pour one down the drain due to the foam issues with the pour. Maybe this is a good ale when the bottle is not bad. Has anyone else had this problem?

Aroma of lightly toaste malt, but I am not getting much hop. Bright amber color with a decent light beige head. Starts with hop! There’s a slight acidic character. The malt is pretty subdued for an amber. Thin to medium mouthfeel, but ends a bit watery. So as advertised, this is a pale ale, but they called it an amber. ????

Purchased @ Total Wine Jax Fl...Pours a copper gold. Nice roasted malt and hop flavour and nose. decent bitterness, though not advertised as biting. Really well balanced and good caramel taste. Very thirst quenching too. It’s a good thing cow feces hasn’t ecolied beer or wine from California.

12oz bottle via trade with cbkschubert! - Thanks Craig! - Pours amber cloudy with a short tan head that fades to a ring and laces some. Nose is of light caramel and grassy hops. Flavor is caramel, grass, nuts, and some earthy notes. Light and watery on the palate. Not much carbonation. Not much about this one worth remembering.
