Commercial Description:
Our certified organic interpretation of a West Coast Pale Ale. This medium-bodied beer has a hoppy bouquet and a distinctive rich taste with a caramel-like sweetness that is balanced with a liberal dose of domestic Centennial and imported East Kent Golding hops. Certified organic, certified good.

From bottle... poured amber with quick white head. Aroma was roasty dirt. Not much flavor at all. Some malts, mainly water with a bitter end. Not a fan.

12oz. Pour is a deep amber with a quickly diminishing head of white cream. Aroma is mildly spicy with some caramel sweetness. Flavor is similar in character. Slightly spicy and malty.

I rather like this amber ale. Its simple, and not too complex, but very smooth. A nice session beer. One of the better from Eel River, imho.

Decent. A little lighter on the hops than I expected; same for the malts; some fruit; light bodied; amber color; decent head; indistinct aroma (perhaps my nose is stuffed up?). The different elements seem disjointed, which negatively influences the complexity. It gets points for being organic.

Promising creamy foamy head that soon dissipitates. Amber colour. Neutral slightly malty aroma, with just a hint of hops. Taste is malty and a bit of hoppy, but not all that tasty. Poor for its style.

[eyes] Amber with a thin white head that lasts, leaving some thin lacing. [nouse] The smell is roasted caramel a little notes of brown sugar or honey. [mouth] Caramel, steel metallic notes... little sweet, good balance, good carbonation.

Pours a clear amber color from the bottle with a trim off-white head. Elusive in both it’s aroma and flavor, but reminds me a lot of mineral water -- which unfortunately isn’t a compliment.
