The aroma is sweet with primary notes of over ripe fruits, but also light malt notes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fresh fruit as well as light notes of over ripe fruits, leading to lightly bitter finish. OK without being fantastic. Thanks to Papsoe for sharing. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Weird, unclean aroma of rye bread and roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish, roasted malt - but again oddly unclean. Dry, lightly hoppy finish. 270907 kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Bottle… Cloudy, caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Super-subtle aroma. Mild, earthy, black tea notes is about all it offers up. The flavor provides excellent balance. It’s hardy and a bit meaty, but bland. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Thin, lightly bitter finish. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 31, 2008 Nice dark orange/amber color with a small beige head. Simple aromas of dry malt and caramel. Quite fizzy in feel. Light caramel start. Some vague bitterness in the middle. Fairly dry and bitter finish and linger. Boring is about as good as it gets. BückDich (4847), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2004 Bronze color with a light cap of head and some spotty lacing (pun intended). The aroma is very malty with notes of caramel, almonds and a good amount of hops for the style. The flavor is very balanced and refreshing. The hops wash over your palate with a crisp earthyness mixed with light roasty malts. The finish is brief but refreshing. Good amber ale with just a bit of diactyl showing through.
