| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 28, 2008 Found a sixpack of this in a little mom & pop store along the "Avenue of the Giants" in the redwood forest of northern CA. From a 12-oz. bottle, this pours a clear ruby-amber with a nice initial, off-white head. Good lacing. Fairly strong malty & citrusy aroma. Good caramelly malt base with a nice whack of hops in the foreground as well. Some fruitiness shines through. Lingering hoppy follow-through. The hops are different than the usual northwest cascade variety; quite refreshing. Lovely beer. Bungalo22 (326), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2008 This is a nice thick IPA that pours amber with a decent head. It smells sweet and it ends bitter on the palate. I’m not even sure it has any effect but it’s the better of the organic brews I have had. fakepurseninja (785), Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Looks great - solid, cloudy amber body with a billowing white head. A tad bland in flavor; a little sweet with a little citrus and mild pine. Very tame but very drinkable. Dorwart (1825), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Large off white head of medium sized bubbles. Thick sheet of sticky lacing. Cloudy copper in color. Floral hops aroma with some bitter tea and some pencil shavings. Light roasty flavor. Gritty palate. More bitter hops and some dry roasted peanut skins. Lingering bitterness and grapefruit juice. Little bit of caramel malts. Alcohol is hidden very well. A decent IPA. JorisPPattyn (5190), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2008 Small, yellowish head over amber beer. Sweetish nose, bit of lytchee, very discreet nose. Fleeting S-component. Bitterish, but not really hoppy, more woody. Bit of alcohol, if not sweet. Medium bodied, alcoholwarming. Decent but unexciting IPA. Typically organic, I’d say. Thanks, CK! | 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jun 30, 2008 12oz bottle, new to my state, so it should be very fresh. Clear orange with a medium head. Aroma is caramel, bitter and medicinal hops. This stuff is weird, to put it mildly. I get a strange baked bean flavor, followed by some fruity/floral notes. It’s really not good. I can’t believe these guys make one of my favorites; Raven’s Eye.
