clear dark amber, big cream head, heavy lace, rich caramel malt aroma with a touch of sweetness and lots of citrus hops, creamy body, lots of citrus hop flavor, well balanced with lots of caramel malt and just the right amount of sweetness, light bitter finish leaves plenty of room for the hop flavor, a touch of well placed buttery character adds some additional sweetness to balance the citrus hops,

Yeasty, bready nose, a bit neutral. Decent lacing. Medium body, tingly carb--a bit sharp, actually. Resiny hop kicks in early and sticks around all the way through a long finish. Has the nutty/dry leaves flavor I love from that organic grain-husk-iness. Overall, not the most impressive org or ipa around, but drinkable and refreshing enough. robforbes (1099), Bremerton, Washington, USA

smell is a little sweet and hoppy.
taste starts a bit sweet and then the bitterness sets in, roasted nuts, leaves the mouth dry and bitter.
i normally cringe when i see organic, because usually that means plain and dull, but this one is quite tasty, the bitterness gets stronger and stronger as you drink this brew. nice one all around. illinismitty (1797), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Bottle from Bottleworks in Seattle. Pours amber with a lacing off white head. Aroma nicely balanced between caramel malt, floral hops, honey, and bread. Medium bodied with with soft and fine carbonation. Initial flavor of caramel and toasted malts, with a moderate bitterness mid palate, which is joined by notes of strawberry, tea, and citrus. Mild spicy bitterness on the clean finish, with just a hint of alcohol as it warms. I am also picking up subtle hints of pine. Hoppy and flavorful without going over the top. This is one of the better organics, right up there with Revolution X. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Pours hazy amber/red with thin head. Aroma is sweet and citrusy. Flavor is sweet. A very slight off flavor, sort of a soapiness. But not bad enough to ruin the beer. Pretty decent mild IPA. Very similar to their organic pale ale. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2007 This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent dark orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The aroma was hoppy and floral. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of hops and floral. A decent one that I would consider buying again. boFNjackson (1302), Portland, Oregon, USA

Quite a bit of malt on the nose for an IPA. Flavors of grainy hops up front with additional tastes of melon, caramel, malt, and mildly bitter finish. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2007 The aroma is a nice balance of citrus and pine accented hops and smooth caramel malt. The body is nearly caramel in color itself with a dark orange tinge to it and a lasting, thumb thick, white head. The fore is very caramel heavy and that gives it an almost warm, round feel like a well sucked on caramel candy. Light citrus hops compliment the base malt flavors. It’s pretty basic as far as flavor range, but it’s well made and has no off flavors.
