Commercial Description:
Brewed with the finest organic malts and hops, our IPA features a bright-minted copper color and a crisp, yet smooth hop bitterness. Pale and crystal malts come through with a malty caramel sweetness, balanced with aggressively clean burst of fresh hop flavor in the middle palate without lingering bitter astringency. A strong floral and citrus character from generous dryhopping blends with strawberry esters from our house yeast strain for an inviting and satiating aroma.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear darkish orange color. Head was one finger high and off white with good retention and lacing. The aroma and flavor are malt dominated. Lots of burnt toffee and caramel with a touch of fruit. Dry and moderately bitter on the tongue. Resiny hops come out as well, but are not center stage.

Very light citrus aroma. Golden brown body with a huge head. Medium palate. Sweet flavor up front is quickly replaced by a ncie bitterness and a slight funky taste. Not a bad organic.

12 oz. bottle - pours amber with one inch head; as with other organics, this lacks much flavor, yet has a nice texture to it...so, a feel good IPA you could say :)

aroma was a mix of floral and piney hops. the pour was well... interesting. mostly foam, so I was concerned the bottle was infected, but it seemed to smell and even taste OK. flavor was muted hops and just a bit of caramel malt. certified organic may be important to some, but I’ll take anyone else’s IPA over this.

Nice pour, foamy white head. Smooth and well balanced with noticeable malts. Tastes like a brewery fermentation room smells. Mild bitterness for an IPA.

(Bottle) Organic beer blind tasting at Brouwers’s in Seattle, March 3, 2007. White head and deep orange body. Nose of milky, eggy tones with a pine hopped front. Tart pine hops mellows into a medicinal maltedness in the flavours finish. Okay.

Golden orange with a coarse head and a fine lace, both white. Medium-bodied, with faint citrus aroma and taste. Moderately hopped for an IPA. A very good organic IPA - surprising in fact. I’ve been unimpressed with organic IPAs in the past.
