Sampled at park chow in the sunset. Very nice pour was like motor oil with a little bit of carbonation. Goes down very smooth and has a nice hoppy finish.

From Bottle. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of coffee, mild smokiness, roasted malts and light chocolate. Flavor was roasted coffee and a burning wood taste. In the end, lingering flavors of smoked wood and earth. Carbonation was low, and mouthfeel wasn’t all there. Still a nice porter.

On tap at the CBC beer pavilion 2008. Pours an almost black color with a coffee and smoke infused nose. The flavor was very roasted, coffee and had a bit of a dirt taste. The hops was undetectable and I thought this was just an ok porter~

Very dark brown to black body with some garnet when held to light. The head is a light tan and fairly thick. The aroma is green bean casserole with some light coffee hints. The taste is fairly strong day old coffee with some notes of canned green beans. A smoky tobacco finish. A fairly highly carbonated body that is a little distracting. Too much vegetable character in this one.

4.03.08. 12er. A very clean and smoky porter. Lower on bitterness. An all-round nice porter to grab.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Naka. Pours black with amber hues, nice, foamy khaki head. Nose is of coffee and roast, with mild chocolate and a touch of smoke. Taste is big on roast wit ha decent bitter that lingers, a bit earthy and a touch of astringency. A bit thin and lacking of mouthfeel.Pretty decent overall. Nothing crazy standout-ish, but a solid porter.
