| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 27, 2008 From Bottle. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of coffee, mild smokiness, roasted malts and light chocolate. Flavor was roasted coffee and a burning wood taste. In the end, lingering flavors of smoked wood and earth. Carbonation was low, and mouthfeel wasn’t all there. Still a nice porter. bsierra (213), Vista, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2008 On tap at the CBC beer pavilion 2008. Pours an almost black color with a coffee and smoke infused nose. The flavor was very roasted, coffee and had a bit of a dirt taste. The hops was undetectable and I thought this was just an ok porter~ heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Very dark brown to black body with some garnet when held to light. The head is a light tan and fairly thick. The aroma is green bean casserole with some light coffee hints. The taste is fairly strong day old coffee with some notes of canned green beans. A smoky tobacco finish. A fairly highly carbonated body that is a little distracting. Too much vegetable character in this one. Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
