This was a 12oz bottle and poured a dark brown-black color with a small tan head.Aroma is coffee and malt.Taste was also big coffee.chocolate and malt, the usual suspects for a porter.Thought this was pretty well done.

12 oz bottle...very dark brown body with a nose full of caramel...and a light brown sugar head....sweet sugary aroma, a mild toffee....sweet milk chocolate sniffs also...yum...clean light to medium body....chocolate malts and caramel...a bit of sour in the mid-palate and dies..... the finish tapers off to a bitter bland flatness of its original self...but overall...good

Heheheh, certified organic. Has a mild aroma of crushed blast furnace slag. Dark brown blackish nearly cloudy opaque but not quite. Darker dirty soil taste. Burned charred palate. Charcoal finish like somebody cooked the meat way too long on the grill.

After their amber I thought I was not going to like this brewer, but this beer brought me back around. Delicious porter. Aroma was very nice. Strong coffee and not much else. Pour was a deep dark near black with a one finger tan head. Taste was strong coffee with just a hint of chocolate in and out. Nice bitter roasted malt aftertaste. Good carbonation and a little thicker and tastier than most porters. Very nice.

Pours deep brown just short of solid black. Little to no head but with some lacing. I just cant pick up much of a nose on this. Faint roasted aroma but it really isnt coming through like I thought it would. Mouth feel is akin to Erdinger’s Hefe Dark(not very good). Mild roasted flavor as in the aroma but not breaking through. Severely disappointed in this brew. Sorry. I wanted to like it more.

Bottle (12oz). Clear deep ruby with a large tightly-packed foamy straw-coloured head. Mild aroma of dry roast grain, a tad oily, grassy hops kicking around, fairly sweet, but soft. That’s a really great taste - moderately roasty grain, fresh, sweet in the way that fresh roasted corn is sweet, lightly bitter - nice! Average body, a little slick, soft astringency on the tongue, not much carbonation, but very pleasing on the tongue - I loved that taste, I could drink many pints of this.

Another beer courtesy of a trade with barefootbrewer. This beer poured an attractive brown color with tan head that dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma was of sweet roasted maltiness. Flavor was also malty and sweet with a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel was good and was a smooth drinker that I would recommend.

Bottle. Poured black with thick tan head. Aroma of malt and coffee, with chocolate notes. Unsweetened coffee, roasted malty body, with nice mouthfeel. Top of the tongue finish.
