350 ml bottle from Pizza Port. Reddish brown with a fizzy tan head. Roasty and grainy aroma. Almond nuttiness, roasty taste, and a mildly bitter smooth finish.

Pours clear deep amber with big frothy tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted and burnt malts along with a mild distracting stale graininess that seems to come along hand in hand with most organic beers I’ve tried. The taste starts just as the aroma with an almost biting burnt malt sensation kicked up a notch or two by the over blown carbonation that brings in tow some malt astringency. Midway and toward the finish sweet caramelized malts that move into roasted malts and then burnt malts ride into the after taste.

12 oz bottle. Poured with a finger of head, sticking to the sides, with decent head retention. Body is a deep dark brown, comparable to coffee. Flavor is an interesting combination of smoked coffee beans and malty sweetness. Has a dry aftertaste. The finish needs some polishing, but overall an good porter.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small head. Aroma of coffee and chocoate. Flavor is similiar with the addition of roasted malts and a slight smokiness. Fizzy mouthfeel and bit watery and a strange aftertaste. Not bad compared to some of their other brews.

Pours a weak coffee like look with little foam. Smell of coffee and malt. Great coffee taste, but the finish is lacking. No lingering taste as it is watery when going down.

12 oz. Dark brown with a large and lasting head. Nice wispy clouds of lace. Cocoa, sour cream and earthy, metallic herb aromas. Flavor is dry cocoa, graham crackers, marshmallow and prickly, earthy spiced molasses. Slight coffee with soured milk, and green mesquite woodsmoke are also present. Palate is a little chalky, near medium-bodied, and smooth but tingly at the same time.
