[eyes] This Porter os darkwith a good 1-2 fingers of foam head that dissipated fast. It had moderate lacing with a notable carbonation. [nouse] The aroma was chocolate and hazelnut. in deep a little notes of coffe. [mouth] The taste was light with note of chocolate malt with a soft bitter finish. Is light in the mouth not complex. Not a bad porter if you like the medium body porters.

Bottle. Pours a brown body with a creamy white top. Tastes organic, i know that vague but that pissed me off right away. Light coffee bitterness, some grainy organic flavor, no etoh or hops to boot. eh.

Pours a dark ruby with creamy beige head with good lacing. Aroma is roasted and grainy. Taste, light chocolat, with light hop bitterness, malty, some coffee. Grainy with oats and barley. Aftertaste offers notes of lactose in the finish. Light finish and smotth.

Pour was dark brown with a light tan head. Definitely on the light side of a porter. Aroma was of chocolate malt, medium coffee roast, and a rich sweetness. Has a very rich and robust roasted malt character that blends very well with the lighter chocolate and coffee flavors. This is a surprising brew. Iit smells and tastes fantastic. Seems to be a more traditional porter than a new age for the darkness is mostly attributed to the roasted malt instead of BP malt which has only been in existence for the last 200 years or so. Definitely a good brew. Give it a try, you’ll like it.

Dark brown pour with a medium foamy tan head that lasted throughout. Nice aroma of roasted malt and coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and a touch of dark fruit. Flavor is sweet dark chocolate and roasty coffee, with a long bitter finish. Smooth and almost creamy on the palate. Not a bad session porter.

Bottled. Poured clear iced tea brown with a dusting of beige head.. came across as rather dead. The aroma picked up semi-sweet chocolate and toasted black malts surrounded by a hit of sweet cocoa powder.. not bad, but really not interesting. The flavor had semi-sweet chocolate again paired with light coffee bitterness and grassy notes.. sweeter on the finish with chocolate coming back.. OK. Light-medium bodied and grainy on the palate with a bit more bitterness as it warmed.. this got better as it warmed, but it was still lacking something.

Dark almost black pour with thin head, Aroma was caramel, malt, and sweet. Taste similar. Good Porter, wish it had a slightly higer ABV.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a very large brown head. The aroma was nicely roasty, toasty and had a hint of molasses. The flavor was very roasty with an intense bitterness, gritty expresso and very very dry. The finish was long, bitter and very roasty. Too dry and rough for my liking but very well made.
