| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Bomber. Pours dark brown / black, with a moderate brown head. Aroma is rich espresso and lots of chocolate, with some roast-to-burnt malt. Flavor is roast malt with some milk-chocolate sweetness, and hint of liquorice. Hint of alcohol all around, and a velvety mouthfeel. Pretty good, for one of the sweeter imperial stouts; sort of like a "bigger" version of a normal sweet stout. alexsdad06 (1080), Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours black with a large creamy tan head. The aroma has a large dose of roasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate, and slight char. The flavor is again heavy on the roasted malt. Other flavors are dark chocolate, espresso, some dark fruit, and a hint of alcohol. This is a solid, yet unspectacular stout. Medium bodied, leans to the dry side, fairly smooth going down. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Bottle shared by eyedrinkale. Deep brown-black beer. Aroma is light and cocoaish. Softly sweet with a nice chocolate syrup flavour. Sweet with a lightly earthy flavour. It’s quite light for an impy, but it’s a decent stout. drfabulous (1235), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Light bodies. Bit of cola. Carbonated a bit too much. I do not get the espresso or coffee in the description. Not intense enough for my taste I like a more solid Imperial Stout. TaktikMTL (2771), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2008 Bottle from Total Wine in Roseville, CA. Pours almost black with a tan head. Smelled of sweet malt and chocolate. Full flavored brew with quite a bit of bitterness to it. Just a little bit of alcohol burn keeps it from being at the top of its class. Good brew!!! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2008 This poured opaque brown in color with a moderate beige head that dissipated away slowly. The aromas were of chocolate milkshake, dark caramel and light coffee. In the mouth it was medium-bodied with lots of carbonation that keeps it feeling light. It does lack concentration in the midpalate coming off a bit watery. The finish is moderately long with some ash flavors combining with the flavors from the nose.
