Nearly black pour, nice brown head lasting the entirety of the brew. Mocha, roast coffee/espresso, malt and alcohol nose. Very smooth mouthfeel, some small tingely bubbles, quite thick. Roated malt and chocolate hints. Some coffee bitterness on the finish and some warming alcohol. IMO excellent, not a slap you in the face imperial, but very drinkable. Reminded me more of a sweet stout, other than the alcohol.

Bomber...very dark brown body --tiny tan head..smells roasty+ chocolate with some molasses...creamy effervescence --flavors not too much complexity here..some bakers chocolate and roasted malt...pretty average--a little bitter, sour on the finish, but not unpleasant, alcohol well hidden

Pours Black. No transparency it is completely black. Dark chocolate thin head. Creamy looking. Very strong on the alcohol, some cherry, and smoke (more like roast). Way too much alcohol. Once again, strong alcohol flavor and some fruit. The after taste is very pleasant. The palate is unbalanced and thin. Meh.

The aroma is toasty with malt, molasses, coffee, and fruit. The appearance is dark brown with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average but OK for the style. Overall it’s decent.

Pretty damn awesome. Smooth malty, espresso, and very balanced. Really one of the best beers I have had in a while. Really good.

Nose of dark dried fruits, alcohol, chocolate, and musty leathery notes. Black appearance, with little tan head, quickly disappears. Overall intresting mix of chocolate, mild fruit, bitter floral notes, and earthiness flavors. Alcohol is quite prominent, could use a couple years of aging. Nice mouth feel, what you’re looking for. This is no doubt a good bier, but it’s a bit harsh around the edges. Alcohol is too prominent, and it would seem to benefit from a slightly different hop profile, something that fits more into the overall earthiness of this bier.
