[#12 Blind tasting session @ Sk8viking] Small rocky beige head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Black color. Aroma of molasses, chocolate, coffee, nutty, wood, vanilla. Full bodied with an alcoholic texture and a flat carbonation. Moderated to heavy sweet with light bitter flavor. Sweet light bourbon finishes with a long duration. Pours dark brown with light brown head lacing head. Slight alcohol aroma with a liqourice note. Thick roasted malty, slight chocolate and mild liqourice note into the finish. Lightly tart aroma with roasted malt showing. Medium body with lightly sweet, roasted malts and a touch of vanilla. There’s a vague underlying tartness before a malt astringent bitterness. 070907 Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 8, 2007 Updated: Jun 4, 2008Bottled and draft. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with notes of chocolate and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of chocolate, alcohol, cocoa beans and strong notes of roasted malt. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 6, 2007 Nice light coffee-chocolate aroma. Head goes away too quickly. Coffee in the flavor but tastes thinned out.Doesn’t seem strong. Decent.
