Smells like a fresh brewed pot of coffee. If I paid closer attention and saw this was organic, I never would’ve ordered it. Just don’t care for the organic stuff. Anyway, no lasting head to speak of and not much depth of flavor. A little roasty. Little bit to boozy for my taste. Not terrible but not great either. My aroma rating will skew this one’s rating higher than it deserves but whatever.......

Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. Nose is roasty with oak, chocolate, and alcohol notes. Dark, near black with a ruby tint. Inky texture and bubbly lacing head. Opens with chocolate and light fruit, finishes dry and boozy. Alcohol is harsh and unbalanced, especially towards the end.

Aug 19, 2008 Bomber. Nearly black pour with an off-white head that didn’t last long. Not much lacing. Aroma of chocolate, brandy and black cherry. Flavor of dark, roasted malt, plum, and chocolate. Just enough hops to balance the flavor. Easy drinkng for a beer of 9.5%.

Aug 15, 2008 Nearly black pour, nice brown head lasting the entirety of the brew. Mocha, roast coffee/espresso, malt and alcohol nose. Very smooth mouthfeel, some small tingely bubbles, quite thick. Roated malt and chocolate hints. Some coffee bitterness on the finish and some warming alcohol. IMO excellent, not a slap you in the face imperial, but very drinkable. Reminded me more of a sweet stout, other than the alcohol.

Aug 9, 2008 Bomber...very dark brown body --tiny tan head..smells roasty+ chocolate with some molasses...creamy effervescence --flavors not too much complexity here..some bakers chocolate and roasted malt...pretty average--a little bitter, sour on the finish, but not unpleasant, alcohol well hidden

Aug 6, 2008 Pours Black. No transparency it is completely black. Dark chocolate thin head. Creamy looking. Very strong on the alcohol, some cherry, and smoke (more like roast). Way too much alcohol. Once again, strong alcohol flavor and some fruit. The after taste is very pleasant. The palate is unbalanced and thin. Meh.
