Bottle. Toasted malt, molasses and coffee notes up front, with light resin and earth for the hops and yeast, with dark dried fruits in the background. Head is large, fizzy, light brown with good lacing and is fully lasting. Color is dark brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then the long finish is lightly sweet and acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a fairly dry finish. This was a surprisingly a deep and rich Imperial Stout. Now let’s start distributing it to a few more places.

Bottle shared by OhioDad at C-Bus 6, thanks! Black pour with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and light coffee. Flavor of liqourice, chocolate, and some roasted malts. Solid body with a nice roasty finish.

[Bottle, thanks Skyview] Pours black with a dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, some hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma with the roasted malt much more pronounced. Medium-thick mouthfeel. Long roasty finish. Nice stuff.

Picked up at Five Points Bottle Shop in Athens, Georgia. Nice silky pour. Off white chocolate head. Looks pretty good. Black opaque apperance. Pretty good looking stout. Alcohol aroma is noticeable. Nice sweet chocolate aroma. Very sweet aroma. Not extremely pugent, but pungent enough to get a decent impression of the aroma. Chocolate dominates the aroma. Well nuanced beer, in terms of flavor. You start off with the alcohol and then the sweet chocolate settles in followed and finished by a little coffee/wood taste. Flavors are a lot more mild than I was hoping for. Wish this beer made more of an impression, but that is not the case. Beer is a little too thin for me.

Bottle. Nose is roasty with oak, chocolate, and alcohol notes. Dark, near black with a ruby tint. Inky texture and bubbly lacing head. Opens with chocolate and light fruit, finishes dry and boozy. Alcohol is harsh and unbalanced, especially towards the end.

Dark brown pour, lighter foam than I like. Aroma of cocoa, roast, and a mellow hop-earth. Sweet chocolate flavor followed immediately by a substantial roast. Finishes with raisins, dark/dried fruit, roast and mild hop flavor and bitterness. Good stuff, just didn’t jump out to me.
