650 ml. Deep ebony with a medium-sized creamy head that hangs. Aroma is chocolate and marshmallow creme, toned down nicely by some peppery coffee and charred wood. Vanilla cream soda on the front turns to some dried wood, hickory smoke, coffee, slight cumin, and some piquant acetic acidity. Sweet and char aftertaste is great. Medium-heavy, creamy body has a tingly dry finish. Very nice dessert.

Picked up single 22-oz bomber at John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR and sampled at Badgerben’s Cellar Reduction Night. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a fast dissolving light tan head that leaves behind a fine film and ring. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, a touch of chocolate and some apple. Taste is smooth, full bodied, very light carbonatation with flavors of dark roasted malt, molasses, coffee and dark chocolate. Finish is semi-dry with a malt/coffee aftertaste.

Thanks group for the share! Pours brown (cola) black with a nose of chocolate, slight coffee, and vanilla. Flavor is dark chocolate, deep coffee, nice dark maltiness, and layer after layer of depth. Enjoyable, and good to spend time with. It opened up once I let it sit for a minute; well balanced.

Let me point out that this beer sat open in Eric’s fridge for possibly days before I drank it. A forgotten soldier who deserves to be drank I say. Pours black with a tiny head. The aroma is light; chocolate and dark fruits. The taste really surprised me by having a great fruity hint that I love from Imperials. Also coffee, wood, and roasted malt flavors. I am really giving this beer respect for staying so good after being open for 3 days. I’ll try it again some day and re-rate.

Fairly typical imp stout. Mainly sweet flavor with some chocolate and coffee notes with a backbone of roasted malt. Aroma is pretty similar to the flavor profile.

Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a clear dark brown to black color with a thin tan head. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet with notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, ripe dark fruit, some hints of wood, smoke and vanilla. Flavor is roasted and malty with notes of ripe dark fruit, prunes, caramel, some phenol, dark chocolate and hints of wood and smoke. Generally medium to full body with a pleasing roasted malt chocolate finish.
