Jan 22, 2009 Bomber from La Mesa Market. Very dark on the pour. Some ruby outlines. Roasted malty aromas. A little coffee and hoppiness. Flavor is fairly roasty with coffee and chocolate. A little bit of hoppiness in the finish. Alcohol is very well hidden. Pretty tasty.

Jun 21, 2007 Dark brown with a moderate tight bubbled light tan head that settles to a thin lid rather quickly. Dark fruits dominate the aromas. Some dark chocolate and roasted malts infused with a touch of alcohol are also present. Somewhat simple, but yet quite calming, a thing many stout and especially imperial stout seem to lack. Full lightly oily feel. Cocoa and roasted malt dominate the flavors. Long singed earth and licorice linger. Traces of alcohol in the flavor and the fact that my stomach now has a mild burn. A nice, not overbearing imperial stout. Thanks Andre.

Feb 18, 2008 Bottle... Pours murky and pitch black with a small, creamy, light brown head. Good retention. The aroma is all about sweet chocolate, espresso and caramel with a mellow smoke phenol. Full-bodied and downright velvety-smooth with tingly carbonation. The flavor is sweet and of chocolate, espresso, caramel, ethanol and ethanal (acetaldehyde). Burnt, bitter notes enhance the malty sweetness instead of overpowering it. Chocolaty, pleasantly sweet finish. Cheers to CaptainCougar for floating this bomber in my direction!

Aug 26, 2006 Pours a two finger light head that fades to a ring leaving no lace. Black color. Light carbonation and heavy bodied. Slight bitter chocolate nose. Starts almost sweet nice balance with the hops gives it a bitter chocolate flavor. Smooth, easy to drink, the high ABV is hidden. $4.50 for a 22oz bottle from Liquid Solutions Tigard, Or.

Feb 13, 2009 (bottle - 22 oz) Clear black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is a lot of chocolate and roasted malts. Some coffee and chocolate milk come through at the end. Flavor begins with a strong hint of black licorice mixing with some roasted malts. The middle is a good amount of espresso and chocolate malts with a lightly bitter and burnt malt finish. A little thin-bodied for an imperial stout.

Jun 23, 2009 Dark brown/black, small quickly fading head. Aroma is roasty and lightly sweet, alcohol. Tastes mostly of roasted malts, light coffee tones, and a strong alcohol prescence with a light burn at the finish. Body is heavy enough to deal with the strong presence of alcohol. Pretty good beer, and it’s organic for extra hipster points.
