| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours a deep copper color with a small but creamy off white head. The aroma is heavily malty, toasted, caramel, some mild fruit, vanilla, and alcohol. The flavor is again dominated by the malts. Toasted caramel, molasses, vanilla, dark fruits, a touch of herbal hop bitterness in the finish, and a significant alcohol burn going down. This is truly a winter warmer. Medium-full bodied. This bottle had at least one year on it when consumed. illidurit (895), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Dark amber color, a little light for the style, with a creamy beige head. Nice lacing. Aromas of alcohol, fruity esters, alcohol, caramel, and fusel alcohol. Flavor is malty with a thinnish mouthfeel. Solid bitterness. Again, lots of booze. Dark and red fruits and a burnt character. High carbonation, too much alcohol, not very drinkable, however it doesn’t have a bunch of absurd off-flavors like most organic beers. Not recommended. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Another organic bomb. Pours a murky reddish-brown, with no head. Reminiscent of rusty water. Ethyl alcohol, caramel, and the smell of burnt sugar. Viscous, soilid mouthfeel has me looking up, maybe the taste will redeem this one. Nope. Raisins, prunes, and malt doused in alcohol and molasses. This is like one of those nightmarish Christmas homemade candies plums. Boooo. TomDecapolis (3202), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of dark fruits, molasses, caramel, tobacco and brown sugar. Flavor of toasted malt, brown sugar, light citrus notes, moderate hop bitterness, some hop flavor, caramel and dark fruits. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Bomber bottle poured into chilled pint glass. Aroma is sweet and brown sugar. The flavor is similar, figs and molasses. It feels really boozey on the first and second tastes. I wonder if this will get more balanced as it warms up.
This reminds me of Lagunitas Brown Sugga. MatSciGuy (639), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 24, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a clear caramel color with a medium sized beige head. Aroma is citric hops with some caramel. Flavor is quite hoppy, a bit of bitterness, and a bit toasty. I don’t quite understand how this isn’t an amber ale. jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA
