Eesti Kali Kvas

This isn’t a beer. However, as an imitation kvass it’s very tasty - sharp refreshing malty taste, slight fruity acidity. If you drink too much beer, then have this the next morning.

Found in a little Turkish/Russian grocery store in Nordhorn. 1.5 litre plastic bottle. It smells like diluted apple syrup. Sweet apple pie flavor. Syrupy yet thin. Cheap cola. Tastes a bit like a German Malzbier mixed with apple juice and coke.

I’m not too sure what traditional kvas should taste like, but this is really thin, with hints of malt, a fair bit of sugar flavour. More like soda than beer. Disappointing.
