sayravai (3183), Helsinki, Finland Apr 18, 2008 (Bottled) Clear, very deep, dark ruby color with a smallish, but firm and creamy, tanned head. Strangely plasticky aroma at first, but settles into lactic-sour, syrupy-malty sweetness. Reminds me of Primator Double, only milder. Roasty malt quickly surrenders to syrupy sweetness and hints of butter and coffee - but dries a bit towards the mellow, mildly roasty and syrupy finish. Almost medium-bodied with medium carbonation, but very silky-smooth mouthfeel. Quite sweet, but pleasantly silky - and in its own way an elegant brew. A welcome addition to the (already bloated) Czech beer market in Finland.
ogivlado (2391), Zagreb, Croatia Oct 10, 2008 Bottled(500ml). -Reddish ruby coloured, medium sized pale beige head, slight malty nose. Toasted malty, toffee and light hoppy taste with notes of coffee, molasses and banana. Krušovice Černe is much better beer. JK54B (385), Finland Aug 19, 2008 Average sized fast dissapearing head. Copperbrown reddish colour. Some malt and yeast in the nose. Sweetish and metallic taste. Some hints of brown sugar. Average hoppiness. A 0.5L can from local shop. taunusmies (230), Finland Aug 6, 2008 Pours dark amber colour with a small head. Sweet malty aroma, roasty, notes of brown sugar and caramel. Quite "light" taste for a schwarzbier but not in a negative way. The mouthfeel is a bit on the watery side; could have a stronger body. A nice beer. Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2008 Updated: Aug 26, 2008Courtesy of Degarth. Pours clear deep garnet with thin tan head. The aroma is big bold caramel candy. Wow. It’s like a vat of fresh caramel. I can also make out mild fruity esters and a note or two of toffee. Smells divine. The taste is thinner and less bold than the rich aroma seemed to hint at. I get lager like malts and yeast to go along with caramel, a grainy sensation and moderate spice hops. The hops seems to grow into the finish. Really enjoyable brew. fishingnet (856), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 27, 2008 Bottle courtesy CigarCityBrew. Pours a clear amber with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, and a touch of roast. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Good.
