harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 28, 2009 33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Gold with a **** load of floaters. Thick lasting white head. Sweetish tripel aroma. It’s an ok strong blond really more than a tripel. It’s fine. Nothing remarkable, like a hundred other Belgian blondes, maybe with a bit of peachy tripel fruit. Bit of pukey malt. Again, not great. Had a run of poorish bottled beers this evening. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Oct 27, 2009 Bottled 330ml. -at Gollem de Pijp, Amsterdam. OleR (2008), Oslo, Norway Apr 7, 2009 330 ml bottle from Belgium Beers, Antwerp. A fully diminishing offwhite head upon a cloudy, golden orange body. Sweetish, lightly spiced malt aroma with yeast and fruit notes. Spices in the flavor as well, also a rather fresh fruitiness and some sweetish malts. Late bitterness that lingers all the way. Filling. Dryish, spicy finish. A quite nice one. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 31, 2009 Bottle, courtesy of OleR. The beer pours a slightly hazy, more or less golden body topped by a big, dense white head. Slightly spiced nose with pale malt and some hops. Sweet and fruity start for the flavor, it dries up after a while, and there’s also some orange peel, spicyness and coriander. Full-bodied and dry. Spiced finish with banana and fruityness. A bit edgy, but quite nice and dangerously quaffable. (090313)
