A bit tart. Loads of citrus. Long bitter finish. See above rating. Brewed by Strubbe (?), bought at Crombé Brewery, best until june '06. If Strubbe brewed this beer, they did a good job. Hoppy aroma, very hoppy flavor with a hint of lemon. Hoppy aftertaste, prickly mouthfeel. Lacks complexity compared to a cellared Crombé beer, but it surely has quality.

Vanilla, citrus, some candi sugar, malt underbuilt nose. Fresh citrussy taste, malt is there, but citrussy acidity overlying everything. Full bodied, bit chewy, tart. I cannot point to any spectacular feature in particular, but the overall feeling and balance of this beer is excellent. sayravai (3752), Helsinki, Finland

Fruity and toffeeish, yeasty aroma. Dryish, peppery-spicy, orange-fruity flavor. Not much alcohol present. Medium-bodied, warming, foamy-carbonated but quite drinkable palate. A refreshing, tasty and well-balanced tripel. A well done tripel! Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium

Dark gold to amber, white head. Aroma’s of fruity grain and some spicy hoppiness in the nose. Medium at full body. Good mouth feel with yeasts, hops, fruit-malts, some sweet ending with some bitterness. rauchbier (3002), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2004 Bottle conditioned. Gold, good thick lasting fluffy white head and good condition. Lots of fruity grain and some spicy hoppiness in the nose. Full bodied in the mouth with fruity malt, a trace of melon, some sweet yeast and a peppery hop edge that becomes faintly metallic. Sweet and chalky yeast initially in the finish but then some hop bitterness develops with lingering hints of spiciness.

Good wheat beer though, with both sweetness and bitterness. William (183), Utrecht, Netherlands
