martinboer (1327), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jul 15, 2008 On tap at Ye Grapes, London. Gold body, no heat. Malty nose. Some caramel in the taste, otherwise eggy. Watery and not much to it. Dissapointment.
sm89walt (175), Norwich, Norfolk, England Aug 27, 2008 Draught - Bedford’s Bar, Norwich. A pale brown colour with a small whitish head that lasted about as long as my interest for this beer did. Fairly basic nose characteristics; a sweet, maybe slightly oaky maltiness. Basic again are the flavours. Run of the mill lager qualities with a touch of sweetness and no real bitterness. Light in body with a dryish finish. maeib (3949), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Aug 4, 2008 Draught, The Racehorse, Northampton. A hazy, pale brown coloured beer with a white head. The aroma and taste has sour hints presumably from the oak. Some fruit and actually a fair amount of character. Needs more body but the flavour does shows itself. joe1961_2 (410), camberley, Surrey, England Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark gold colour with a thin white head. Plenty of oak in the aroma. The taste is dry with a slight bitter finish. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jun 7, 2008 Bottle. Pretty bad really. Crappy lager base and some oakyness i guess. Pretty sure this won’t last long on the market. Couldn’t really see the point. Boring?
