Poured a dark gold with a large fluffy head in my lager glass. The aroma is light with some carrots and light corn grain. Actually this is very pleasant with a little bit of hay. The taste is A little celery with some light refreshing spice of black pepper at the end. Finishes with a little bit of uncooked bread dough. This is of the nicer German Pilseners I have had.

Bottle. Pours a transparent gold color with a lasting foamy white head. Lots of bubbles parade constantly. Nose is that of straw and cardboard. Taste is water, straw, bitter in that order.

Clear gold with a small but lasting white head. The Einbecker house nose is effect. Sweet biscuits and herbs. Slightly oxidized (too bad). The flavor is light apple sweet, biscuits, and some faint, but notecable, wet cardboard. Nice earthy bitterness rounds everything out. Crisp finish. THis one would have been much better had it been fresher (and not in a green bottle?).

Bottle at Cafe Amsterdam, Anchorage AK. Bright golden with a mere wisp of white foam. Classic malty yet pleasantly bittered Bohemian-style pilsner. Very good, maybe just a big biscuity.
