Tap at The Yardhouse. Brown pour wtih a small head. Aroma is very light and mostly malt driven. Some light nuts also are noticeable. Flavor is pretty damn boring. Light nuttiness and malts with nothing to stand out and get excited about.

(Bottle, as Einbecker Schwarzbier). Mild grassy malt aroma. Deep reddish brown with light tan head. Flavor is very mild and not terribly interesting, but certainly drinkable. Some malt and light sweetness, vague roasty notes.

0.33l bottle bought near Hannover in Germany. Pours a dark red-brown with a large but fast-shrinking fine beige head. Sweet malty aroma, taste is also malty and sweet but also smoky and with a light bitterness. Aftertaste has caramel and hints of dried fruit - raisins or dates, maybe. This is NOT a schwarzbier!

12 oz. bottle. Poured a black/copper color with a light off-white head. Strong aroma of malts. Fairly well-balanced b/w hops and malts. Slight tinge of caramel. Light to medium bodied with an easy finish. Not bad.

Draught: This one poured an extremely dark, copper color. It seemed fairly clear, and only had a very small tan head on it. The aroma was decent, although a little light. There were caramel notes, as well as a faint tinge of roastiness. The taste was good. It was medium bodied and very smooth. Just a hint of sweetness in the taste. Very subdued notes of caramel and dark fruits. Not bad.

Bottle Wow I was wondering what the issue was with the Scwarzbier here. Poured copper w/some caramel etc. not very exciting but then I thought it was a schwarz, didn’t I?

Bottle. Dark, copper colored pour with a slightly off-white head that lasted the whole way. Aroma of caramel and malt. Flavor of slightly roasted malt with caramel and just a bit of dark fruit. Plum or raisin maybe? Very light on the palate. A good easy drinking dunkel

Dark brown and clear. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Sweet aroma, caramel, malt. Flavor starts heavy sweet and finish sweet too, bitter notes though.
