I’m not normally a fan of these hoppy blonde bocks, but this was a well done brew. Pours a golden to amber color, very clear and crisp looking, excellent head that had great retention and yielded fantastic lacing the whole way down, very nice looking. The aroma was the only downer, lots of grass with light spice under neath. Did I mention a lot of grassy hops? Grass, lots of it. The flavor was grass first and foremost, but it was nice and well-supported underneath with a bready honey-like maltiness. Not a complex beer, yet for the blonde bock style, nicely done (although nine times out of ten I like my maibocks to be more dougy/bready malty than this.... go figure). Mouthfeel finished dry and crisp, couldn’t even tell it was malty from the mouthfeel.

pours amber with a just off-white head, about average from my comp’d 12oz bottle. aromas of slight oak, faint caramel, and muted creamy malts. the taste beats the aroma. creamy, fruity, and notably hoppy. if a beer could taste like a tn spring, this would at least be in the running. it’s good, but has drawbacks. it’s a smooth mouthfeel, but finishes slightly bittersweet. there’s a touch of apple and lemony-grapefruit in the finish as well. that’s a good thing. i enjoy the duality here, i just wish it were more pronounced.

Got this bottle by mail from the brewery - amber to copper in colour, firm head, flower-like aromas, sweet and toasty on the palate, caramel aromas and a dry aftertaste.

Small white shiny head. Yellow body with light carbonation. Sweet roasty caramel aroma with marzipan notes. Sweet earthy roasty caramel taste with notes of burnt almonds. Dry straw and grain aftertaste. A good bock, but not as good as the helles. Less of the signature Einbecker flavour. (0.33l bottle.)

Darker coppery color than expected. Fresh nose. Tastes malty and even bitter. The alcohol raises it’s head in the end. The hay like bitterness lingers in mouth for quite some time. Turns into a toffee chocolate kind of taste. Seems like a strong lager, but ends up being quite complex. Still I can’t really find a place for such a beer on my schedule.

Stubby bottle. Pours with the appearance and aroma of a pilsner. But the taste is truly malty like a bock. Unique flavor combination of a pilsner and bock. Interesting stuff.

Light malty aroma. Hazy light amber color with a vigorous white head that laced a bit. Starts with a caramel malt sweetness. Then the sweetness really takes over. Interestingly enough, as soon as the second wave of sweetness passed, balancing hop appeared. And the caramel (but not the sweet) is right along with the hop. Strange, but decent stuff.
